Do You Have A Construction Project We Can Help With?
Open Cell Spray Foam
Contrary to the name, open cell spray foam is an air tight insulation solution typically used in attics, crawl spaces, or other areas where the space allotted is generous.
Open cell spray foam has more “air pockets” trapped within the plastic, so it is very light as compared to closed cell. To obtain the same insulating level as closed cell spray foam, you can expect to pay less but open cell will take up more space, since it is not as dense.
The energy co-efficient for open cell spray foam is generally R-3.5 – R-4.0 per inch.
Closed Cell Spray Foam
Closed cell spray foam is appropriate for many applications where space is limited, such as behind the drywall between rooms or in a ceiling. Closed cell spray is a much more dense type of spray foam, when compared to open cell; Typically, closed cell has 3x the material needed per square foot.
The energy co-efficient for closed cell foam is R-6.0 – R-6.5 per inch once settled.
Fiberglass Insulation
An economical choice, fiberglass insulation provides adequate protection for a residence or commercial building. We carry Fiberglass batt & roll in a variety of sizes and thickness.
The energy co-efficient, or R value per square inch, varies with application and thickness.
